With my gig poster, I really wanted to make it feel like artwork that you can buy of specific national parks. I wanted the band name to be on a national parks sign, and in this case it works perfectly. I chose bright, fun colors to help draw attention to it if it was on a community board or something similar. 

With my sketching I focused on specific aspects of some national parks, ex. trees, rivers, mountains, cacti, ect. I knew I wanted to incorporate a few of these elements in the poster. I also sketched out the national parks sign, which was a crucial element.

This was my gig poster draft. It is pretty far along so there are only a few changes made between this and the final. Though I was not able to get feedback from classmates on this, I got feedback from my husband. He suggested adding a border and a sun. 

This is the final of the gig poster. It meets the requirements because it does not use gradients and includes texture. I made the changes that I mentioned previously and I think it really brought it together.
